People generally think that sub-degree studies is not useful. In my opinion, my two years of study at HPSHCC gave me the opportunity to realise my interests and goals.
The College provided us with a good study environment. Our Principal, Vice Principal and the college lecturers were friendly and sincere. They all gave us support and encouragement. Furthermore, the student counselors offer useful advice on further studies and problems that I faced. Without their support, I am not who I am today.

I have been very interested in nursing since I was a child. I chose to study the Higher Diploma programme in Medical and Health Product Management. The programme curriculum covered medical related subjects including anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and pathophysiology. HPSHCC has provided students with comprehensive services and support such as overseas internship which broadened my horizon. Lecturers have passion in teaching and are very willing to give us advice on further studies. I finally achieved my goal and is admitted to the nursing programme at HKU.

I am glad that I had studied at HPSHCC. The College is a good learning place with ample support for students, and the lecturers are always supportive. They use many real life examples for illustrations. It not only helped me understand the lesson easily, but also stimulated my learning. They also spent their time to answer my questions after lessons.

I am glad to have lecturers who love teaching and are patient to students. They inspired me to purse my studies in the field of food safety.
HPSHCC provides a well-equipped nutrition laboratory for students to conduct different experiments on food safety. We have learned a lot from the laboratory works and class presentations. In addition, visits to food factories enabled us to learn about the daily operations of the industry. All of these experiences prepared us for future career.

After studying two years at HPSHCC, I really wanted to thank the teachers. Most of them are barristers with busy schedules; however, they still find time to teach and answer our questions after the lessons via emails. They are really good to us. Apart from this, I felt that my biggest change was my learning attitude. In the beginning, I thought entering the university was very difficult, but now I can achieve my goal and enter the university I like. I hope you can find your goal and do your best to reach it.

HPSHCC has provided students with a comfortable study environment. I studied the HD in Medical and Health Products Management programme in which I could practise the dispensing skills and communication skills through role-play with patients. All these are essential for our future studies and careers. The Student Counsellors and lecturers had recommended a variety of internships and jobs as well as visits to hospitals and pharmacy companies. It is a valuable opportunity for us to gain the work experiences and learn outside the classroom.

The best place of the college was to offer different internship opportunities. I participated in the Macquarie Mentorship Programmes and went to the Macquarie Bank's headquarters for an internship. The mentor taught me how to work and other related professionalism, such as how to write resumes and build up personal brands. I believed that the knowledge we learnt was necessary for future. After studying two years at HPSHCC, I found myself became mature and future oriented. The goal of students was not only to get admitted to the university, but also understood what you can do after graduation. We should make good use of these two years to build up our career.
