College Life

I really gained a lot during two years study of the Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management. The programme provided me with the fundamental knowledge about nutrition and food safety, which prepared me for entering into the university. The Student Development Resources Centre (SDRC) offered articulation talks, university interview workshopand consulting service, all these are definitely helpful. The counselors in the college are very friendly and professional. They gave me advice for further studies and emotional support at the same time.  Although I encountered challenges and setbacks, I did not give up. Finally, I hard work has paid off.

In this programme, I have learnt a lot of knowledge about nutrition. This helps me to classify the food is healthy or not  in daily life and maintain a healthy habit. Also, the teachers are nice and having passion in teaching, which help students a lot and adapt to the programmeeasier.

The programme has broadened my knowledge on the food and business related industry. It also helps in my future studies and career. I hope my experience can inspire you to study and work hard, and to pursue your own dream.

For three years studies in this college, I had gained lots of knowledge as well as experiences that built the foundation for my further studies and future career. Lecturers are professional and enthusiastic to teach, where give me lots of advicefor both academic and future career. The college also provided various study toursand oversea internships  which broadened my horizon and enriched my college life.

Teachers of our programme shared a lot of their own experiences in the industry during the lessons. They were pleased to answer our questions about projects or assignments in detail after the lessons. They also gaveus good recommendation and suggestions. The programme gave me the chance to be a trainee in the Peninsula which was a valuable experience for me. I have enriched my knowledge in the hotel industry and learned the basic operation procedures.

In these two years at HPSHCC, I was blessed with opportunities to meet good mentors and peers, who have inspired me a lot to pursue my further studies in hotel stream. The six-month hotel internship allowed students to work in a real hotel environment. All practical knowledge that I have acquired during placement are the most important assets in my life.

The course can broaden my scope of knowledge and widen my horizon. It is important for me to develop a far broader outlook on life and have better prospects.

In these two years, the most memorable thing was meeting a lot of good friends who worked hard together.No matter assignment or exam, we helped each other so much. Also, teachers patiently taught us, that if we had any difficulties, they would try their best to help us.

Thanks to studying an associate degree, I was given a comprehensive view towards Social Science. All the lecturers teaching psychology are experienced, which facilitated our learning by sharing some real life cases handled by them in their careers. On top of this, I highly appreciated that the classes always maintained a good learning atmosphere. Most classmates are active learners which motivated me to work hard and engage in in-class activities. I have gained much more than expected during these two years.

Time flies. My college life at HPSHCC was enjoyable and memorable. I was not sure what my plan was in the beginning. After studying for two years, I have made a lot of friends and learned much of the knowledge. I become more confident and am ready for new challenges ahead.
