College Life

It has been a splendid journey to study at this College. Apart from acquiring knowledge that would form a firm foundation for my further studies, I’ve also taken part in various College activities like the Student Ambassador programme and the study tour. Over the past two years, I realised the importance of goal setting and I’ve tried to step out of the comfort zone.

This programme not only equips me with professional legal knowledge but also enhances my analytical skills and comprehensive competence. These help me to develop a strong foundation for my further studies and future career. The lecturers’ teaching and sharing of experiences let me deeply understand the teaching content and know more about the legal profession.

Two years before, DSE Chinese Language was a stumbling block to me. However, it won’t hinder me from chasing my dream, because HPSHCC opened up another way for me to enter. This programme didnot only teachstudents the knowledge of sports and recreational management, but also provided us opportunities to work in a real organisation, where we can apply our learning to the real situation.

In the two-year college life, the programme I studied has further deepened my knowledge about business management in different ways, such as attending lectures by different kinds of whole-hearted tutors and going through a number of projects. In view of this, it not only consolidated my knowledge toward this subject but also improved my presentation. I am grateful for the support and encouragement from lecturers and counselors.

Every teacher I met was extremely patient and dedicated. This program is more manageable for me as it does not have too many science base courses, but it still contains a lot of food base knowledge. Trust yourself and don't be intimidated by the assignments and presentations.

To sum up the past two years of my study at HPSHCC, the programme and internship were beyond amazing honestly. Lecturers are all passionate and well experienced in the service industry. The College has collaborated with a number of 5-star hotels to offer us six-month placement opportunities. For me, working at The Peninsula Hong Kong as a trainee has definitely widened my horizons and built a good foundation of my career development.

The programme is very practical, which I am provided with different business and accounting knowledge. The College organised the education and career talks from time to time that helped us to have a better understanding on our future planning. I was fortunate to meet many enthusiastic students and lecturers. Whenever I encountered any difficulties, they would be there for me. Lastly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the lecturers who prepared various types of teaching materials that effectively facilitated our learning.
